Patrícia Almeida
Photographer and co-founder with David-Alexandre Guéniot of GHOST Editions. Lives and works in Lisbon. She holds a degree in History from New University of Lisbon and a PhD from Goldsmiths College in London. She is interested in photography as a language and territory of research and artistic creation. Her exhibitions often take the form of installations across multiple media and imaging materials: photographic prints, artist books, posters, newspapers, videos or projected images. Her projects often start out as books or artistic publications, an important part in her work.
In 2009, she was nominated for the Besphoto Award for her exhibition and book ‘Portobello’.
Since 2003, she has been part of the POC / Piece of Cake, a network of European and North American artists working with photography and video.
