The video presents a seascape in the depths of a vast frozen expanse. Flocks of birds skim low across a blue-grey horizon, like fleeting hieroglyphs passing across the screen. From the right, a suited man appears, adrift on an ice floe, furiously striking its surface with a sledgehammer as snow flies with each blow. How long will it take before the ice gives way and the man disappears beneath the waves?
And yet the floe continues drifting until it leaves the frame on the left, only for the hammer-wielding figure to reappear once again from the right.
