In a singular and deeply intimate sequence shot, a man dances alone as a celebration appears to be drawing to an end. Shot on 16 mm film, the work transforms an everyday gesture into an image suspended between joy and melancholy. Repetition prolongs the moment and conveys a sense of infinite longing: the desire to remain within an instant that is, despite everything, about to disappear.
Presented at the 26th São Paulo Biennial, the work brings cinema and installation together through a brief, circular and affective experience.
